Cancellation & Refund Policy — Maharashtra Hikes

At Maharashtra Hikes (MH), we understand that plans may change. Our cancellation and refund policy is designed to be fair, transparent, and considerate of both participants and the organizing team. Please review the following carefully before registering for any event.

1. Events (1–2 Days)

• ✅ 100% Refund – If cancellation is made via phone 2 or more days before the event.
• ✅ 75% Refund – If cancellation is made 1 day before the event.
• ❌ No Refund – If cancelled less than 24 hours before the event.
• ❌ No Show = No Refund
• 🔁 Tickets are non-transferable to another date or person.
• 🧗 If MH cancels the trek, only the “Trek Amount” will be refunded.

2. Events (3–4 Days)

• ✅ 100% Refund – For cancellations made 10+ days before the event.
• ✅ 75% Refund – For cancellations made 3–7 days before the event.
• ✅ 30% Refund – For cancellations made 2 days before the event.
• ❌ No Refund – Beyond the above timelines.
• ❌ No Show = No Refund
• 🔁 Tickets are non-transferable to another date or person.
• 🧗 If MH cancels, the “Trek Amount” will be refunded.

3. Events (More Than 4 Days)

• ✅ 75% Refund – If cancelled 45+ days before the event.
• ✅ 50% Refund – If cancelled 30+ days before the event.
• ✅ 30% Refund – If cancelled 15+ days before the event.
• ❌ No Refund – If cancelled within 15 days of the event.
• ❌ No Show = No Refund
• 🔁 Tickets are non-transferable to another date or person.
• 🧗 If MH cancels, only the “Trek Amount” will be refunded.

4. Refund Process

• Refunds are initiated within 3–5 business days to the original payment method, And will be Credited as per bank policy of 5-7 Business Days.
• Refunds may be processed via IMPS, UPI, NEFT, Cheque, Bank Transfer, or Payment Gateway within 5–8 days after event completion.
• If MH cancels the event, the same refund process applies.

5. Important Notes

• Refunds are calculated on the total amount payable, not just the advance paid.
• MH is not responsible for losses due to travel/hotel bookings, transport delays, or itinerary extensions.
• Bookings can be transferred to another event only at management’s discretion and with participant consent.
• If an event is cancelled and transferred, 100% of the booking is moved to the new event (GST & gateway charges are non-refundable).
• If a participant cancels a transferred booking, refunds follow the original cancellation policy.
• For cancellations due to natural disasters, strikes, or political unrest, refunds will be issued as per the applicable policy.
